Crystal ball 

Check how a crystal ball is crushed!

I think the way the ball was made has played a roll in the first fragmentation event but anyway this is a nice example of failure in brittle materials!

-It also makes me wonder more about the mechanism that triggers the failure in brittle materials. It’d be nice to watch it at a lower speed –
